Yesterday, we had a nice and lazy day in the Netherlands, which meant BBQing again. (second time today, so not really a severe punishment for me). I wanted to do something simple and had a some minced meat left from the lunch I created this afternoon.
By now, the kids were screaming for burgers, so I must be doing something right!
I had some dried white bread left and crushed that to dust. I also had some ‘magic dust‘ prepared already, so I was good to go.
- 500 gr. of minced beef
- 1 egg
- a squeeze of ketchup
- 2 tablespoons of burger dust.
- pepper / salt to taste
Mix that all up very well and use the Burger Press, as described on the legenda, to make the best burgers ever.
Cool the burgers down for at least 30 minutes and take them out once the grill is hot. I use charcoal for this, but any fuel type will do, of course. Before grilling, I gave them another layer of Jack’s Magic Burger Dust. Tasty!
I grilled the burgers and used a ciabatta for bread, since I didn’t have any buns left and stores are closed on sundays, here.
Topped it off with some nice condiments, like pickle, tomato, jalapeños, union, or whatever you like. I also topped it with a fried egg, to make it more special then it already was, and we loved it!
