For lunch, I wanted to do something different this weekend, and I had some minced meat and some bread lying around. What a great combination, add some onion, garlic and bacon and cheese, and you’ve got a killer combination.
I’ve started out with taking the soft parts of the bread out. After that, I’ve mixed up the following ingredients in a bowl and used that to fill the hollow bread with.
- 500 gr. of minced meat
- 1 egg
- 100 gr. of grated cheese
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- salt / pepper to taste
- little can of tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon of paprika powder.
Mix that all up well and fill the bread with it. Once done, I’ve added some bacon on top and placed it in the BBQ outside.
Possible other options are to put some bell pepper on it as well, just slice it up in nice rings and place on top. I didn’t, but feel free to play around with it.
After about 20-25 minutes at 180-200 degrees Celcius, I’ve sprinkled some grated cheese on top to melt and took it out.
This is a superb snack or ideal at lunch time.
