Classic BBQ Rub for chicken

This rub creates roughly 0,25 litre.  (TS = tablespoon, but any unit will do)

2 TS of smoked paprika powder
1 TS of regular paprika powder
2 TS of Salt
3 TS of regular sugar
2 TS of brown sugar
1 TS of grounded cumin
1 TS of chili powder
1 TS freshly grounded pepper
1/2 TS cayenne pepper
1 TS of onion powder
1 TS of garlic powder
1 TS of celery salt
1 TS of dried oregano

Game on! Enjoy!

Chicken and lemon stew

Yess! It’s been way too long since I’ve fired up the DO, so this saturday it was time to dust the Oven off and get it lit up!

Chicken is the preferred cut, and I needed to figure out a nice recipe for cooking it, without sticking in the recipes I know and love already. Got me thinking, and suddenly …. #lightbulboverhead ….. lemon came to mind (and google).

Cedar planked salmon

Valentine’s day BBQ diner

Saturday it was the 14th of February, and as you all know, that’s a beautiful day for people in love. Although we never ever join in into this extremely commercial festivity, it is a day to contemplate the love we have for eachother. Since I like BBQ and my wife has to cook every day, my love is expressed using the tools at hand, knowing a kitchen, some knifes, ingredients and a grill outside.

Homemade burgers

Last weekend, we could officially say that is was time to do some burgers again. It’s been way too long and the kids were annoying me with the question as to when we were to do it again. It’s not really a punishment, since I like them a lot and it’s relatively simple to make.
